Plugging the 800,000 yuan material loss loophole! Helium leak detection equipment breaks the "hidden waste" in electronic component seal testing!

There's a saying in the electronic component industry: "A leak in a single chip can bring down an entire device." For high-precision components like sensors and RF chips, if tiny gaps remain after packaging, moisture and dust from the air can infiltrate, causing component failure. Traditional "vacuum and pressure" methods are costing companies dearly for these "misjudgments."

A sensor manufacturer in Shenzhen once encountered a dilemma: when using the vacuum and pressure method for testing, if a small amount of air remained within the component, the equipment would falsely identify it as "qualified." These "falsely qualified" parts, when delivered to customers, had a failure rate as high as 15%. To reduce customer complaints, the company had to hire an additional 20 people to form a "secondary manual screening team." Each person screened 500 components per day. With a monthly salary of 8,000 yuan, the annual labor cost exceeded 1.92 million yuan. Worse still, even after secondary screening, 3% of products still ended up as defective, resulting in annual losses exceeding 600,000 yuan in customer returns and rework, and the company lost long-term orders from two major customers.

The introduction of helium mass spectrometry leak detection equipment fundamentally changed the detection process: the equipment injects helium into the component and then uses a mass spectrometer to capture any helium molecules leaking from the outside. The leak rate detection accuracy can reach 1×10⁻¹² Pa・m³/s, equivalent to detecting cracks as small as a pinhead. This not only increased the defective product detection rate from 85% to 99.98%, but also eliminated the need for a secondary screening team, saving 1.92 million yuan in annual labor costs. Furthermore, the customer return rate dropped from 15% to 0.1%, recovering lost orders while adding three new clients and increasing annual revenue by over 3 million yuan.

By eliminating the "false positives" and waste of electronic components, helium leak detection equipment can also help companies avoid hefty fines in the refrigeration equipment industry, which prioritizes safety and compliance. In the next article, we'll examine how helium leak detection equipment can help refrigeration equipment companies avoid environmental penalties while saving over 700,000 yuan in annual refrigerant loss costs.
